The film is based on a graphic novel published by Image Comics and is a sci-fi/Western mash-up (aliens invade the Old West, cowboys fight back). And has anyone actually seen Extraordinary Measures or Crossing Over, his two movies since Crystal Skull, both of which were slaughtered by critics and tanked at the box office? Well, things might be looking up for fans of Ford, as he’s just signed on for Cowboys & Aliens, the next project from Iron Man (1 and 2) director Jon Favreau. I suppose there are some supporters of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and it did get generally good reviews from the professional critics, but most fans hated it with a passion usually reserved for Star Wars prequels. Harrison Ford’s acting career has been very hit or miss since 1993’s The Fugitive.
